I hope this post finds you in good health and high spirits. Today, I want to share a deeply personal journey that has had a profound impact on my emotional well-being and healing—Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT).
Exploring the World of EFT
So, what is Emotional Freedom Tapping, or “tapping” for short? It’s an extraordinary technique that combines ancient Chinese acupressure with modern psychology. By gently tapping on specific meridian points on your body while focusing on emotional or physical issues, you can release negative emotions, reduce stress, and invite balance and peace into your life, ultimately expanding your window of joy.
But let’s dive into my personal journey with EFT, a story that’s close to my heart.
My Introduction to EFT: A Weekend of Self-Discovery
A few years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a unique camp weekend designed exclusively for adults. It was a much-needed escape from the daily hustle and bustle, a chance to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with myself. This camp had one important rule: no work-related conversations were allowed. Instead, it offered a wide range of activities and workshops aimed at personal growth.
It was during this transformative weekend that I stumbled upon a workshop on Emotional Freedom Tapping. I must confess, I had never heard of it before, and I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. However, this particular workshop promised the chance to work with a world-renowned tapping practitioner, and that was enough to pique my interest.
I carried with me a long-standing issue that had lingered for years—a weighty burden that felt like an unbreakable chain holding me back from the life I truly desired.
Under the gentle guidance of the tapping practitioner, I began to tap on specific acupressure points while directing my focus toward my lingering issue. The experience was unexpectedly emotional. With each tap, it felt as though layers of tension and negativity were peeling away, much like shedding emotional baggage.
To my astonishment, I emerged from that session profoundly changed. The heavy burden I had carried for so long had loosened its grip, and I experienced a newfound sense of freedom and clarity. It was a transformative moment that left an indelible mark on my soul, expanding my window of joy in life. This marked the beginning of my journey with tapping, a journey that has led me to where I am today, close to completing my studies as a certified Practitioner.
