Hello, beautiful souls! Today, I want to talk about something incredibly important in our journey toward personal freedom and emotional success: fanning the sparks of the new and empowered beliefs within us. As women business owners and coaches, we often focus on overcoming blocks and releasing limiting beliefs, but it’s equally vital to nurture the good stuff inside us. This balance is crucial for changing the neural networks based on old stories and building our new neural pathways to foster lasting change.
The Power of Acknowledging the Sparks: Why It Matters
Imagine your mind as a garden. If you only focus on pulling out the weeds (negative thoughts and limiting beliefs), you’re missing an essential part of the process: planting and nurturing flowers (positive thoughts and experiences). Just like a garden needs both weeding and planting to thrive, our minds need a balance of addressing blocks and celebrating the powerful realizations and ideas.
In Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) sessions, we oscillate between these two aspects. We work through our challenges but also take time to acknowledge and amplify the good. This dual approach helps us create new neural pathways, making new ways of thinking a natural part of the way we move through life.
My Journey with EFT: A Personal Anecdote
Let me share a little story from my own journey. When I first started using EFT on my own, I was primarily focused on eliminating my fears and doubts. I would tap away my anxieties, hoping that once they were gone, I’d finally feel free. When I went deeper into my studies and began training with Neftti Canada I realized the far more effective approach of moving between what we call our phase 1 thoughts (old stores, limiting beliefs, emotional blocks) and our phase 4 beliefs (when we can hear our true self speaking, beliefs that are full of our limitless potenial) and over time i was moving with less resistance.
That experience taught me the importance of fanning those tiny sparks of joy and positivity within us. It’s not just about “removing the negative”; it’s about cultivating a way forward.
The Science Behind It: Rebuilding Neural Pathways
Our brains are incredibly adaptable. Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections throughout life. When we consistently and intentionally cultivate space for empowered beliefs and integrate behaviors—like daily EFT tapping—we help our brains build new networks that support our new direction.
Think of it this way: each time you engage in with new ways of thinking or celebrate a small win, you’re adding a brick to a new pathway in your brain. Over time, this pathway becomes stronger and more established, making positivity your default mode.
Practical Tips for Fanning Your Sparks
- Daily EFT Tapping: Make it a habit to incorporate EFT tapping into your daily routine. Focus not only on releasing emotions that aren’t serving but also on amplifying the ones that are.
- Celebrate Small Wins: Every achievement, no matter how small, deserves recognition. Celebrating these moments reinforces positive neural pathways.
- Gratitude Journaling: Spend a few minutes each day writing down things you’re grateful for. This simple practice shifts your focus from what’s lacking to what’s abundant in your life.
- Positive Affirmations: Create affirmations that resonate with you and repeat them daily. Affirmations like I am capable, I am worthy, and I am enough can have profound effects over time. In POWER EFT we have a special method for working with Affirmations. One that is is based in the way your brain works! This method will stop you from reenforcing any beliefs / affirmations that you don’t truly believe deep in your heart, and have those affirmations work for you!
- Surround Yourself with Inspiration: Engage with people who uplift you, consume content that inspires you, and create an environment that fosters good feelings.
Consistency is Key
It’s important to remember that consistency is crucial when it comes to building new neural pathways. Just like going to the gym strengthens your muscles over time, regularly practicing new and empowered beliefs and emotions strengthens your mental resilience.
Start with small steps—maybe five minutes of EFT tapping each morning or jotting down three things you’re grateful for before bed. These small actions add up and create significant changes over time.

Remember, lovely readers, this journey is uniquely yours. There will be ups and downs, but every step forward is progress worth celebrating. By balancing the work on our blocks with nurturing our inner sparks of joy and and ease, we pave the way for transformative change.
